4 down, 5 to go!

This morning I finished day 3 of week 4 of the Couch to 5k program! Wow, it has really flown by! I am so excited about the progress I am making and the results I have seen so far! However, week 5 scares me to death! There are 8 minute runs on day 2, which I did this morning with no problem so that is fine. What scares me is day 3! A 20 minute run with no walking breaks! Yikes! On the cool running website it says to repeat weeks if you think you are not ready to move on to the next and I think that Sasha may have mentioned on her blog that she and her husband repeated some weeks. I really don't want to, but if I have to I will. I want to move forward in this program but you have to remember that just 4 weeks ago I wasn't exercising at all, so 20 minutes is a huge deal!

Also, to anyone who reads this before 6 pm central time today, I need your help. Hubby and I are going out to eat with some friends tonight. We are meeting them at a local Mexican restaurant. I am trying to not eat a lot of calories today so that I don't blow everything I have accomplished so far in just one night. But I am also trying to decide what to order. I know that cheesy dishes are off limits as well as refried beans and rice. I was thinking that I would order the chicken fajitas and tell them not to bring the cheese, beans, tortillas to the table. Then I could just eat the chicken and the veggies it comes with along with the pico de gallo and the guacamole. Does that sound good or not? If anyone has a better suggestion let me know! Thanks in advance for any help!

A chicken burrito is what I always order...it is filling and as point friendly (calorie friendly) as I could find. Avoid the chips and salsa. Those chips have a lot of calories and fat. Good luck! I have had some more pain from my female medical problems and haven't exercised yesterday or today:(

Oops..you could order what you said..however I might avoid the guacamole because even though it has good fats...it is still calories and fat that you might not want right now. Also...if you want to order the tortillas...eat only two of the tortillas and you would be fine. I hope I am making since!

Oh my goodness...totally off topic...but I just looked at the chez ami stuff online and I am going to be in trouble. I love this season!

Oh, I LOVE chips and salsa. I could just eat that and nothing else. Good luck with your dinner! (you're inspiring me to be good!)

Oh, and don't drink the margaritas (TONS of calories).

Oh, and off topic, but I started the C25K yesterday. Officially, I'm starting Sunday, but I did the first day as a "bonus" and it felt really good to be running again.

Hi...I just started reading your blog. Found you through Sasha's blog. I'm getting ready to start week 4 next week and I'm scared to death! Hopefully, I'll find it as easy as you did. I don't even want to think about week 5 right now!

Thanks for stopping by my blog. I'm loving the couch to 5K, although I very well may have to repeat weeks in the process.

I like to get a chicken breast with guacamole on the side (I put it on top of the chicken) and then a side of black beans. So yummy. I know guac has a ton of calories but it is one of my favorite things and it's good fat, right? :-)

Hey! Question for ya...do you go to the gym everyday M-F or do you go every other like the C25K suggests? I am asking because I am trying to figure out how to do this with me going everyday M-F...I have been just doing like 2 day 1's 2 day 2's and then 1 day 3 (if that makes since!) oh and I just looked back over the plan and I am going to try to move on to Week 5 Day 2 tomorrow...I can't believe there are 5 minute walk breaks...that seems long! I don't do the 3 minute ones now..I just do 2...but I may need the 5 tomorrow!
