I have been trying to sit down to write this post all day! It is yucky, rainy and dreary here, so the 2 little ones and I stayed at home and hibernated all day! I almost felt bad that hubby and big sister had to go to work and school today, almost.
Anyhow, I wanted to tell you somethings that I learned over the weekend. First of all, I learned that when doing the C25K you MUST take it slowly, and pay attention to your body. We went to a Superbowl party last night (BTW, go Giants!) and while talking to a friend there, I learned that her husband broke his tibia while going through the program. Now, to be fair, he tried to push ahead fast. He would go further then he was supposed too. Also, when he started having pain, he just kept going. He ignored it and what started out as a stress fracture, ended as a broken tibia. He has been sidelined for almost 2 months. So please, always, always stretch before you exercise, take it slow, do your 5 minute warm-up and if you start expeiencing pain, slow down try to find out what it is, and if it persists, go see your doctor!
This past week I hit a plateau. I fully expected to lose at least a pound, but instead I got stuck. I could not figure out what was happening. I was watching my calories like a hawk, I was exercising, I was staying away from bad food! What is the deal??? Well, at this same party I got in on a converstaion with 2 other ladies about Weight Watchers. One had already lost the weight on the program and the other has been on it for a few months, lost some weight and had plateued. Well, the one who lost all her weight asks the other one if she is drinking enough water. It hit me like ton of bricks! I felt like I was wearing a dunce cap. Duh-uh! The first couple of weeks I made sure I drank my full 8 glasses of water a day and then some, but the last 2 weeks I have seriously slacked in that department! And there is the reason! So, today I chug-a-lugged it! Phew! I was starting to worry that I was going to be stuck at this weight forever!
Well, today I was supposed to start week 5 of the program, but I slept horribly last night due to a terrible stomach ache! When the alarm went off I just turned it off and went back to sleep. It was also pouring down rain and just so yucky! But, tomorrow I will be back on it! Week 5 looks hard, so wish me luck!

You can do it. Just pick you favorite super-motivating sing-along playlist songs (:)) and 2 1/2 songs through and you'll be done your 8 minutes.
Every body needs a nice rainy dreary day break in their PJs now and then.
Thanks for the advice. I had a hard time with week 3 (last week) so I think I'm going to repeat it this week. I hardly ever stretch before because I just want to get it over with, but I'm definitely going to after reading your friend's story. Good luck with week 5 and let us know how it goes!
