Hello! Happy Tuesday! Are you shocked? Well, I'm not making promises that I will post more regularly but I am starting to get back into the blog thing. Ya know?
So.. today started off at the ungodly hour of 4:30! A.M. Just in case you were wondering. And, yes, I do know that for many of you 4:30 comes once a day and that is at the p.m. hour. I however, bad as I hate it, have to get up and get my workout in at this time. Its super hard to predict your day when you have 3 kids and putting it off in hopes of getting it in later in the day is a no go. Trust me. I've tried it and it doesn't work. I still live under the delusion that one day I will make it happen. What can I say I am an optimist :)
But I digress, spin kicked my booty this morning! Hot and sweaty and everything I love spin class to be. Runs, jumps, climbs (seated and standing)and lots of resistance! Spin = love!
After spin I rolled on back home and considered for a short time making a pit stop at Subway to grab breakfast. Have you seen the commercials? They make me hungry every single time! Whole Wheat English muffins, egg whites, veggies? Yum, yum, and did I mention yum? However, I was super sweaty and a little stinky so I decided that I would make my own b'fast! Good choice cause it was delish!
This would be homemade almond pineapple granola (I'm tinkering with the recipe, but when I have it just right, I will share it with you!), almond milk, half a sliced banana and a sprinkle of cinnamon. Sooooo good! Of course, if you know me, a few cups of coffee were involved in the breakfast take down as well.
I also may have had a lovely slice of this:
We have this really great farm stand less than a mile from our house that always has delicious watermelons. I also sliced up a cantaloupe but the kiddos scarfed every single piece before I could get a pic. I heart summer produce!
I mentioned in my last post that my attitude toward food has changed and the way I eat has changed as well. I'm not quite ready for that post as of yet, but I assure you that I am going to let you in on what I have been eating soon. I am, however, going to give you a few pics of yesterdays eats to give you just a taste (pun intended) of whats been going down (the hatch!).
Yesterdays b'fast! Eggs with blistered grape tomatoes, sauteed spinach and Parmesan cheese. mmmmm.....
"The Green Monster" Into the blender goes one frozen banana, 1 cup of almond milk, 1 scoop of chocolate whey protein, 1 TBLS Peanut Butter and a big ole handful of spinach. Sooooo yummy! I promise, promise, promise you don't taste the spinach!
That's all I've got for now! I'm about to go all MMA on some laundry, do some weights, and figure out what the kiddos and I will do for the rest of today! I might try my hand at some Gazpacho as well and maybe try to tune up that granola recipe! Have a wonderful Tuesday!

Glad you are back...now hurry up with that changing eating post cause Lord knows I need to change my attitude about food!
Hey, welcome back to blogging!
4:30 a.m.?! You ARE crazy! But, hey, whatever gets results, right?! 6 a.m. is the absolute earliest I could force myself to exercise. 7 a.m. is about ideal.
After a long hiatus from running regularly, I am back to it too and it feels so good to be running regularly and actually enjoying it again. I'm running the Chicago 1/2 marathon in September.
Rachael, I am so glad you are back to running! Glad you are enjoying it too! I plan on doing a half in Tupelo, Mississippi with some friends on September 5 and another in my hometown on October 30! I love the longer races!
