10k

This morning I ran the 6.4 miles that it takes to complete at 10k in 1hour,1min,10sec. Is this a good time?

I know, I know, the goal is to finish. But, my competitive nature comes out and I HAVE to get a good time!

P.S. I'm still on a break.

blogging is like a drug I do believe. Once you start you can't stop.

I think that is a great time! My first 10k (I think it was actually closer to 11K thought) was 1:14. Now during training I have it down to about 1:06. granted I am not a fast runner at all...I can do the distance but that is about it.

Keep up the great work!

I think you have posted more since you have been on break than you have in the week before....haha

Good luck with your race. I will be thinking about you while I am watching the balloons go up....

Wished I could have met you yesterday, looks like you had a great time.

BTW - A wants to come up for the festival. I will get with her again and get the date we want to go.

It's just under a 10 min mile, and that is just a practice run. The day of the actual race you will have so much excitement and adrenalin that you will run even faster without even realizing it.
good job.

I think that's a great time! That about how fast I am running a 10K right now too.

You will always shave off a few minutes in an actual race due to adrenaline. So, YES, it's a great time. 10K under an hour is always my goal, and you will most likely always finish in the 1st half of the pack if you acheive that.
