I thought I'd do a post on some things around my house that I love or that make me happy when I see them, sort of like an open house! Enjoy!

Here is our front door. I usually have a wreath but my spring wreath fell apart last year, so I have to replace it. I know that is an unusual color for a front door but I have gotten more compliments on that color! I have actually seen people drive by and point at it! Hubby puts huge sun ferns in those earns every summer and they look great, and then he plants red gerainiums in pots around the steps. I tell you it is so beautiful! I'll have to post a pic when he gets that all done!
Here is a picture of one wall of our office. I love this color. It is Sherwin Williams Anjou Pear. I think it really makes the black furniture pop! The pictures on the wall were found at T.J. Maxx on clearance for $5 a piece! The chairs were owned by the previous owner of the house. The fabric matched the window treatments in this room, so I asked if they would leave them since they matched and to my great surprise and delight, they agreed!
I love my china cabinet. My friend Alisha found it at an antiques store and when I took Hubby to see it, he HATED it! I wanted it so bad! It took about 2 weeks of begging until he finally agreed. I was so afraid it would be gone when we got there, but to my surprise it had not sold! Now Hubby loves it too!
And finally, I thought you all might want to see my pedicure!
Now, here's your assignment, if you choose to accept it! Go around your house, take pictures of the things and the rooms you love, post it on your blog, then come back here and leave me a comment to let me know you did it so I can come look!

Ohh, sounds like fun. Let me get back with you when I've cleaned my house. It might be awhile. (just kidding! -- I'll do it).
OK -- challenge accepted. Be sure and stop by. And, thanks for the inspiration. I was just going to slack off again today.
Love the door! A grapevine wreath with Dogwoods would look so good against that color!
Oh, and Shag the movie? Love it. Times a million. Especially the Clemson/Boner reference.
Clemson Girl? Thanks for visiting! I love your blog!
Hey, I forgot to mention in my previous comments how much I love your door. It looks fab against the red brick.
Love your house! I posted some pics of mine...I don't have favorites as I hate my house...but come look anyway:)

I think I will do a similar post, but I will wait till the next time I get my house cleaned first.

I agree with Rachel...it sounds like gret fun...
I love the colour of your front door! Very original! Ours is green too but dark green, here they call it bottle green! I also love the colour of the wall in your office.

Oh my goodness. You are posting over here? I had no idea. I just thought you'd disappeared or something.
