I've got a super busy week going on here! However I wanted to let you know how the C25K program is going. I started week 4 this week but I'm not doing it like it says because I didn't like how it was so broken up. So, I just decided to see how far I could go. Monday I did the 5 minute warm-up, then ran for 5 minutes, walked for 2 and then repeated that twice more! I was so proud! Today (Wednesday) I did the usual 5 minute warm-up and was planning on running for 5 but I let my mind drift and was really jamming to the music on my ipod and low and behold the next time I looked down 7 minutes had gone by! Wow! That is definately more than I thought I could handle at this point in the game. So, today I ran a total of 17 minutes with some walking thrown in there plus a warm-up and cool-down! Awesome! I was worried about next week because it has an 8 minute run on it, but after this morning I think I can totally handle it! I am worried about day 3 of week 5 though, 20 minutes of nonstop running! Yikes! Wish me luck!
I'd love to hear what everyone else is doing!
P.S. I've lost 6 pounds! Pretty good since I just started on January 4!

Go CM...glad to hear you had a good day...today was rough for me. I bought a new running skirt (well skort..it has shorts underneath) and it kept sliding down my hips and the shorts part kept riding up my legs so I was pulling at them my whole run..ugh. I am doing 5 min warmup..5 minute run and then 2 minute walk and alternating it...sounds like we are doing about the same thing. I don't like how broken up some of the weeks are either. I'm not sure if I am ready to run 20 minutes straight either! Although..the day I ran with P beside me I ran for like 10 minutes non-stop and that was a few weeks ago..so maybe I can do it?....
i completely envy you on the 6#. i'm starting the C25K too! actually, my sister and i are going to start with that and then train to do a 10K this summer. too bad you don't live closer, i'd try to rope you in!
I was planning on starting the c25k this sunday, but since I was going to the Y today to workout anyway, I figured I minght as well start today. Day one done! Not too bad either. I'm inspired by your 6# loss, I'll be ever so happy if I have the same results by week 4.
Good job Lori!! I'm glad you started today!
