I have two sick babies, again. All this sickness started at our house about a month and a half ago with Big Sister getting that terrible stomach virus and ending up in the ER due to dehydration. Then all 3 had strep throat. This past Tuesday little brother woke up at 3:15 a.m. with a 104 temp. We carted him to the Doc that morning to find out he has double ear infections (only the third ear infection he has ever had). Yesterday EC came home from school in tears. She said that her throat was hurting really bad and that it hurt to swallow. I looked in her throat and saw what I thought was swollen tonsils. So, this morning it was off to the Doc for the second time this week. It turns out however, that poor EC has strep throat once again! The Doc thinks that she didn't get completely over it the first time and it has returned! Poor thing! Before this recent bout with sickness, my kids has not really been sick in a LONG time! In fact, the pediatrician made the comment today that she checked our charts and said that it had been 13 months since we had brought a sick kid in (she wasn't including the infamous popcorn kernel up the nose incident). Like I said, when it rains, it pours.
Today is the Junior League Apple Annie Day! "What's that?" you say? Well, our Junior League sells apples at several local businesses to raise money for the organizations we support. You can spot an Apple Annie by the cute candy apple red tights she wears. Its a lot of fun and the community really supports it and looks forward to it. I had my beautiful red tights on when we went to the Doc this morning and a lady stopped me in the hall and said "Is today Apple Annie Day?, I have to go buy my apples!" In the 3 years I've been in league, we've had absolutely gorgeous weather for selling our apples. I've heard the horror stories of blisteringly cold wind and torrential rain. But, I thought, nah, that won't happen while I'm in league. Yeah right! Today it is very rainy and chilly here. I have to stand out in front of the post office for 4 hours and sell apples. IN THE RAIN! Good thing it is such a successful, fun fundraiser (it usually raises $20,000 or more), and its for a good cause. I just hope this sore throat I've been sporting all week doesn't get worse! Like I said, when it rains, it pours, literally!

I hope the wee ones feel better! Hang in there!!
I was just thinking that it was about time you posted those Halloween pics! I want to see the gymnast! But, I guess you have a good excuse, it seems.
Sending wellness vibes your way.
I hope everyone feels better SOON! It is NO fun when the kids are sick!
Oh I'm so sorry!! Hope everyone feels better soon. That is the worst, especially going around and back and forth. You're in my prayers :)
I have just gotten around to reading posts. I am so sorry to hear that EC is sick again. Strep is the worst. Hopefully, she is doing better now!
Hope your day selling apples went better than you hoped, with the rain and all!
Talk to you soon!
Hope your babies feel better soon!
By the way, I chuckled when I read your last comment about Big Sister being upset over Obama. I felt the same way!
