Gettin Caught Up!

First things first, I want to thank AR, Boo and Hooties Momma, EB (Life's a Peach), and Alex over at Running Just As Fast As I Can for this sweet award! Right back at you! You girls make my day too!

Now, I have to give it to some other bloggers so here goes....

Rachel over at Always Wanted Four because she makes me laugh and because I think we would be friends in real live and because she is kicking my heiney and making me train for a half-Marathon!

A.D. over at The Cats PJs because she is such a sweet cheerleader (she always encouraging everyone) and because she always knows about the best snacks!

N.M.B over at Puttin on the Grits because she is a Grits (like me), and because she makes me laugh and because I am swooning over her new romance with a man she calls "Country".

Maddie over at Madras Matters because she always knows the best deals, she stuck up for a friend this week (that took guts) and because by golly, madras does matter!

Sasha over at Barely Keeping it All Together because I wouldn't be running right now if it wasn't for her!

So, Here's the MeMe I was tagged with. I was tagged by 2 or 3 people, and since I am about a week late on this I'm not tagging anyone cause everyone else has already been tagged! So here goes, enjoy!

What were you doing 10 years ago?
Hubs and I were newly weds and living in a very tiny apartment (but we didn't care!). I was working at a job that I hated and had just decided to look for a new one. It was June and it seems like all of our friends were getting married so every weekend I was either at a bridal shower or a wedding!

5 things on my to-do list today...

-Do this Meme (Hey, I've got priorities!)
-Tackle Mt. Washmore
-Return DVD's to video store
-Play with my kids
-Run

Name some of your favorite snacks...
Dark Chocolate (as Rachel says, I'm not wasting calories on milk chocolate)
Klondike Slim-A-Bear 100 calorie ice cream bars
Cheez-its

Name some places you've lived...
Tennessee, Alabama, Illinois

Name 5 things you would do if you became a Billionaire...

-Not tell anyone cause then everyone would be hitting us up for money
-Anonymously give a large sum to our church and our former church
-Build a bigger house (not huge, just a little bigger)
-Fund my children's college funds and start wedding funds for my girls
-Let Hubs quit work (but I know he wouldn't, he loves his job!)

And if you were wondering.... I did not go running with the running club on Saturday or today. I had a ton to do Saturday morning because we were going over to FIL's house to have lunch for Father's day. My SIL was planning a Mexican meal so will all chipped in with dishes. I was in charge of appetizers and I had 3 to make (on top of getting 3 kids and my self ready). I didn't go today because Michelle (the one who invited me) wasn't going to be there and I want to make sure she is there so that I know at least one person there.

On a gross note.. I lost a toenail! All of my running friends warned me that I might but I totally didn't believe them! The second toe on my right foot started hurting a few weeks ago and then started turning colors eventually settling on a beautiful shade of purple. The nail finally gave up Saturday night. Oh well, one less to paint!

Potty Training? Went fabulous! I was so not looking forward to it. Yes, it meant no more buying expensive diapers but it is a hassle and everyone told me boys were so much harder than girls. Well, little man proved everyone wrong and was potty trained in 3 days. I tell you, he's a prodigy!

New Kids On the Block? I'm going to see them in concert in Atlanta on October 29th! My friend Renee was a huge fan of theirs back in the day (I was a fan but not near as big as she). She went crazy when she found out they were going to be on tour this year and would be pretty near us in Atlanta. She told me about it a few months ago and asked me if I would go if she could get us tickets. I said sure, not thinking anything else about it. Well, she called me last week, she has scored us tickets! I couldn't quit laughing when she told me! She is so sweet to get me one too! This will be our birthday celebration (both our birthdays are in September)! I can't wait (I also can't believe I'm going!)

Yea, you finally told everyone about NKOTB. You are going to be one busy traveler this year. Have fun doing it though.

Are you gonna do the running club?

I went to see the NKOTB when they were "back in the day" and it was one of the BEST concerts I've ever been to!! You only get better with age....right??!
Have FUN!!

Yeah! I can't wait for the concert, this will be my 4th NKOTB concert. I got the tickets today and and can't stand the excitement.

PS-I have another set of tickets for sale if anyone wants to join us--I ended up buying 4 because the seats kept getting better and better!

Awww..thanks C.M. That's my first blog award. I'm so excited. It's also funny to hear myself called a cheerleader. Growing up, I was always much more of a tomboy/jock than a cheerleader :)!
I do pride myself on my snack knowledge though...and I'm always glad to share!!! I can't wait to spread the love and pass the award on to other bloggers!

Thanks for the award!

I'm working on an inspirational post for your running pleasure. Stay tuned...

Maybe I shouldn't tell you that EVERY TIME I have run a 1/2 or a marathon, I've lost both of my big toenails. It's NOT pretty when that happens, and it take forever for them to grow back too! Yuck. I hope I can avoid that this time. But, if not, at least it's fall and they can grow back before flip-flop season.

You know, you're supposed to size your running shoes up a full size from your regular shoe size (because feet swell from pounding the pavement.)

AND...dark chocolate. Yes, you know I say yum. My new fave: Dove Special Dark Chocolate-covered Almonds. Quite possibly the world's most perfect food.

What is the deal with losing toenails? I have never heard this...P warned me about rough feet...but not losing toenails.. Are you still running on a treadmill or outside? I like treadmill running SO much better...outside is killing me!!

THAT made my day. It's been a rather down day so I REALLY appreciate that. :) If I can make someone laugh then my job is done! THANK YOU :)

My 2 and a half yr old shows NO interest in potty training! What is your secret??? She is sooo stubborn! I think she is going to college wearing pampers!

Thanks so much for the award. When I just told my 4 year old, she gaves me a "thumbs up" and said, "awesome, Mom." BTW, I've lost more than a few toenails in my half-marathon training. I consider it my "badge of honor."
