So, as most of you know, I have 3 children. Two girls and a boy ages 6.5, 4,& 2.5 respectively. Since the 6 year old started kindergarten last year, things have progressively gotten busier at our house. I have so many irons in the fire during the fall and winter that most days I'm just trying desperately to keep my head above water. Needless to say because of this busyness some things in our house have gotten, shall we say, out of hand? Things that are usually very organized are all in shambles. Laundry does not get cleaned, dried, folded and put away in the time frame that I would like.
I need a plan. Sort of like the C25K but without the sweat and panting. Things are beginning to slow down a bit around here. AWANA at church is a month from being over for the summer, I am 4 hours away from completing my Junior League volunteer hours for the year and of course school is almost out for the summer!
I am so looking forward to the next few months! We have a trip to San Francisco planned with just me and the Hubs. I have a tripped to the beach planned with just my friend Ashli and our kids, A family trip to the beach, A possible trip to Charlotte, NC, and a possible trip to Turks and Caicos!
But back to my original thought (see I told you, I'm a rambler), I have to make a plan to get this house back into shape. Anyone got any ideas? Don't go preachin Flylady to me cause I have been there and done that. I need my own program. Stay Tuned....this could get ugly.

I don't have any ideas..but I will go on the plan with you if you come up with one. I use to be so organized before kids and now..it just isn't happening! I am so JEALOUS of your upcoming trips!
Oh...and I don't like flylady either...for one having my kitchen sink clean is the least of my worries and I don't like putting my shoes on when I am in my house!
OK, let me know if you figure it out. My house needs a serious spring cleaning too. Have you seen the book: "Do this junk make my butt look fat?" (or something like that). It's by the organization guru from TLC's Clean Sweep and the premise is that we gain weight for the same reasons that we collect clutter and disorganization. I've been wanting to buy/read it, cause I love that show and lord knows I could stand to loose a little bit from myself and my house! :)
Oh man...I want that book Rachael mentioned...hmm..add another one to the list...man I need to go to the library or the bookstore or something! When am I suppose to find the time to read all these books??!!
Drink two pots of coffee before bed and vow to stay up at least until 1 am getting the house in order while the kids sleep. Works everytime. ;)
Whoa Nelly! I'm not sure I could do anything if I drank that much coffee! Goodness!
Sounds like we have a lot in common. Let me know if you find a solution.
